Release notes cite performance improvements and general stability, as required by law.

A software update released this week adds no features, alters no interface, and removes the single function anyone was using.
Release notes cite performance improvements and general stability.
“Nothing was slow,” said user Petra Ilves. “Everything was fine. The button is gone.”
The button, which reversed the previous action, has been relocated to a menu, then relocated again to a submenu, and then, according to users, to a place that does not appear to exist.
The Bureau of Iterative Change confirms this is standard practice and follows a fixed sequence.
“Version one contains the feature. Version two hides it. Version three removes it and announces that nobody was using it,” said Bureau analyst Dr. Casimir Vane. “The measurement supporting that claim was taken in version two.”
Users seeking the old behaviour are directed to the settings panel, where a toggle labelled Classic View restores approximately a third of it and disables search.
The update cannot be declined. It can be postponed until tonight, which is a period the software defines internally as forty minutes.
